Many kids during the 1980s got inspired to try martial arts after the movie The Karate Kid was shown on the theaters all over the World. It was for sure one of my favorite movies when I was growing up. Everybody loves a underdog story and Daniel LaRusso is a real underdog. Scrawny and new to the neighborhood. The Movie has many classic scenes or how about the classic quote “wax on wax of”. Those scenes inspired me to create some karate kid essential items. Space – more than one way to travel
There’s more than one way to space travel. I got inspired to create some diffrent takes on space travel. The illustrtations spans from vintage Soviet cosmonaut to 1950s iconic sattelite Sputnik 1 to a more futuristic and fantasiful take on the cosmonaut. Back to the future – Hill Valley x4
Everybody has at sometime dreamt of traveling through time and experience the future or the past. The films Back to the Future explores exactly this theme where Marty McFly travels back and forth within the time span 1885-2015. Central to the film is the town of Hill Valley, many fun details are shown in the three films. The development of the courthouse or the local diner for exampel. I have created my tribute to Hill Valley where you can follow the central buildings in their different guises.
Back to the future – Essential items
The year 2015 is an important year in the movie trilogy Back to the future. It is the year that Doc and Marty (Jennifer is also there), go to the “future”. And now we are here, everything has not quite turned out as filmmakers predicted, no hover boards yet and flying cars are not flying through the air. The films are in any case one of my favorites, the details of the script and stuff included is clearly masterfully executed. What do you need to succeed in time travel? I have collected some of the most essential items from the first film in an illustration.
Home Alone Christmas
The film Home Alone is a true Christmas classic. In addition to Kevin, his family and the villains The Wet Bandits. The family’s house plays a large role in the film. I have therefore drawn inspiration from the stunning house and created this art print.
